Social activities
Yasuhara Chemical considers customers, business partners, shareholders / investors, employees, and local communities to be important partners and continues to carry out various social activities. Here, we would like to introduce "Safety and Health Initiatives," "Community Initiatives," and "Employee Initiatives."
We will continue to reflect the needs of society in our corporate activities and aim to be a company that is trusted by everyone.
Strategies to ensure safety and hygiene
emergency training
We regularly conduct disaster prevention drills in case of an emergency. In addition to the comprehensive disaster prevention drills jointly conducted by the local fire department as shown in the photo, the training is conducted assuming various situations such as oil spills to the sea area (boom expansion) and rescue of tankers. After the training, there was a lively exchange of opinions on the review of training methods and systems, leading to continuous improvement.
Introduction of AED / ordinary lifesaving training
We are actively introducing AEDs (automated external defibrillators) in light of recent trends in paramedics. In addition, we are working to improve our skills by inviting paramedics from the local fire department to conduct ordinary lifesaving training using AEDs for employees.
Initiatives for local communities
Cleaning activity
In order to value the understanding and cooperation of local residents, we would like to increase opportunities for dialogue and contact with local residents at each business site.
As part of such activities, we regularly carry out various cleaning activities to express our gratitude to the neighbors at each business site.
Efforts for employees
Childcare support
Our company has been registered as a "Hiroshima Prefecture Work-Family Balance Support Company Registration System" and its action plan is open to the public on the Hiroshima Prefecture website.
In order to balance work and family, taking a paid leave is allowed even on the same day in the event of sudden fever, illness, etc. of a child or family member for medical examination and nursing.
In addition, we have incorporated hourly basis annual paid leave so that paid leave can be used even for small chores.
Compliance training
With the revision of the law on June 1, 2020, harassment measures have been strengthened and power harassment prevention measures have been enacted.
In response to this, in August 2020, we conducted a “compliance training” conducted by a lawyer for board members and department heads. While understanding the contents of the system, perticipants learned about the risks that harassment poses to society and the company by using actual case law as a subject.
